But seriously, Day 1 of the 2011 Nationals has been a great day after causing a degree of anxiety for the organisers early on.
Yep, we got wet but that was more than compensated for by an excellent, mostly consistent breeze that kept us all dressed in C (mainly) and B sails.
At the end of Day 1, local tyro Nigel Price is holding a small lead over 2010 champion Scott Fleming with 2009Â winner Graham Brown edging up the leaderboard in 3rd. Relative newcomer Randy Atkinson, in his first championship event is breathing down Graham’s neck in 4th spot and on the same points
It is still wide open and set up for an interesting Day 2 tomorrow.
The rest of us?, we are having a great time and some, including Rodney Popham well and truly in the Medal hunt.
