Distributors of the RC Laser

Radio Control Sailing Australia is the creation of Beth Powell and Cliff Bromiley. We are the exclusive distributors throughout Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific of the remarkable and acclaimed RC Laser model yacht.

We are the classic keen sailors who have hit mid-life  with the arrival of our young family we thought sailing was something we had to put on hold until the concept of free time returned to our lives. Our introduction to the RC Laser has changed that. We have re-discovered the wonderful world of sailing, an activity we can now enjoy on our own, together and with our children who are learning advanced sailing skills from a young age.

Our vision with Radio Control Sailing Australia is to introduce a radio controlled yacht that has no equal.
We look forward to nurturing competitive local fleets that will lead to the development of State, National and Regional championships. We are working closely with our overseas colleagues to develop International RC Laser championship regattas as soon as we have a strong sailing base in our Region. Internationally, the class is proven and has an enormous network of clubs and competitions. Many overseas RC Laser sailors have told us how much they are looking forward to being able to travel down-under to compete in regattas at our sensational venues.

We are also looking forward to introducing an exciting new recreation activity for people who are looking for fun but don’t have the time or the inclination for competition. The RC Laser is great to race in a club and at regattas but it is equally fun to sail solo, match race against a friend or teach upcoming sailors how to get the most out of the wind. Every keel boat should have one on board to while away those twilight hours at the anchorage. Every resort should have a fleet to test the sailing skills of the guests. Every yacht club needs a fleet to add a new dimension to their members fun, to encourage friends and families to get involved and as a teaching aide for novice sailors.

We are also setting up hire businesses around the Region to provide holidaymakers and others a chance to have fun putting their sailing skills to the test.
