Radio Control Laser – Order Parts You Need In June
Order Your RC Laser Parts and Boats Before The End Of June.
This is a quick reminder if you need parts or are thinking of purchasing a boat or kit to do so before the end of June. This is not necessarily because it’s the end of the financial year – although that is a good reason. July is a full on month here for us at Radio Control Sailing Australia and orders wont be able to be filled quickly in July.
So if you need THAT part for your RC Laser on the weekend or in a few weekends time – get in and order it now.

RC Laser Championships QLD 2013 Notice of Race
The Notice of Race for the QLD Radio Control Laser Championships has been posted. You can check it out here at the RC Yachts website.
It’s on over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd June at the lovely Lake Kawana, Bokarina, Sunshine Coast, hosted by the Sunshine Coast Radio Yacht Club.
The event kicks off with social racing from 12-4pm on Saturday followed by championship racing on Sunday. Registration on Sunday is 9am with first race at 9.30acht Club.
The organisers are hoping for a good representation of interstate sailors and invite RC Laser sailors along to enjoy a great day of competitive sailing. Click here for more information including contact numbers if you have questions.
Victorian Radio Control Laser Championships 2013 Report
The 2013 RC Laser Victorian Championship was held at the National Water Sports Centre in Patterson Lakes on the weekend of April 27th.
Nine Skippers battled the conditions in very strange winds to say the least. The weather was fine and cloudy, with the rain holding off for eventful day off sailing.
The Skipper to beat after winning the first 5 races was Scott Fleming. Demonstrating why he is the current champion, Scott showed excellent speed, control and timing in picking the wind shifts. Second and third was a contest between Terry Rowe and Jurgen Luther.
All competitors express their thanks for a great day to the those who catered, provided the canopy and trophies. Also thanks to David Thomas for his organizing and the prizes, Mike Pender, Stephen Early, Tony Smith and Geoff Dawson for their help at this regatta.

RC Laser National Championships To Set a Record Fleet Number
The RC Laser 2013 Nationals look set to host the largest fleet yet seen at a national championships in Australia. Almost each state has representatives planning to attend and organisers are hoping that competitors from every State will start.
At the last count, there were 20 competitors planning to start at the Patawalonga Lake, North Glenelg, Adelaide over the weekend of 5th/6th of October, 2013. Competitors from Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia are expected to travel to the event.
