Last weekend the 2011 UK RC Laser Championships were held near Liverpool and Dave Bedford (AUS 120) from WAnderers RC Laser Sailing Club in Perth finished 13th out of field of 27 boats over the two days of competition.

This is a very creditable result from Dave who has only been sailing RCLs for just over a year and the field included some of the top RCL skippers in the world including John Tushingham, Dave Fowler, and Andy Kissik.

Well Done David !!!  Have to see if we can persuade you to come to Queensland for the Oz Nationals in July….

The Notice of race is out now and it can be seen on the ARYA website and the www.rc-yachts.net website. There is an online entry form set up on both sites, Thanks to Eddie Cowell the webmaster. The skippers list will be up and going shortly.

Still working on the notice of race at the moment, a farmers market has been establised on our usual set up area for Saturday morning.
This will affect our access until about midday. More details soon….

Entry is $15 and includes a BBQ lunch. We have around 10 RCLS indicated to compete. Hopefully we get that number up to 15+.
